Mark Collins - Artist Statement

​

My experience as an artist has amazingly spanned 40 years now. Reflecting back as a child I always liked to draw and paint, didn't think it would become a career. I'm so grateful to say yes, I'm an artist... all my life in one capacity or another.

 

I graduated with a B.F.A. in Illustration from the University of the Arts (UArts) in Philadelphia, PA. I've won many awards for illustration and design work.

 

Experiences includes being an art therapist, high school and college level art teacher, graphic designer for FOX TV, WB TV, and Pep Boys. Other than designing for the 10’ O’clock News for both stations; I also provided graphics for Good Day Philadelphia, Eagles Game Day Live and Flyers Post Game Report.

Print advertising work has appeared in national publications including the island of Puerto Rico. Local publications include the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philly Metro, Courier Post and Burlington County Times.
