Mark Collins - Artist Statement
Mark has been a professional artist for over 30 years. Mark graduated with a B.F.A. in Illustration from the University of the Arts (UArts) in Philadelphia, PA. Mark has won many awards for his illustration and design work. He works as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator. He also provides art instruction services for the popular social art “Paint Party” phenomenon. Mark worked as an Art Therapist for 9 years where he created and directed the creative arts program for a mental health center. His graphic design experience includes such companies as Professional Jeweler Magazine, FOX TV, WB TV and Pep Boys. Mark’s TV show designing includes the 10’ O’clock News, Good Day Philadelphia, Eagles Game Day Live and Flyers Post Game Report. Mark is a seasoned art instructor where he has taught at art centers, high schools and on the college level for the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Mark’s print advertising work has appeared in local publications such as the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philly Metro, Courier Post and Burlington County Times. Mark has exhibited his fine art in many galleries and art centers in the Philadelphia, New Jersey and Maryland areas.
